League of Legends Boy Band: Official Teaser, Clues, & Potential Champions

If you have been a follower of Riot Games and its flagship title — League of Legends — you would know how musical scores and content are a big part of the package that Riot presents to its community. League of Legends and its musical content are almost inseparable and it is used for more than just promotion purposes. Apart from the annual Worlds anthem, Riot Games releases musical themes for its champions, in-game events, and other celebrations. Interestingly, there are many bands in League of Legends featuring fan favorite champions.

For the longest time, the rumor of Riot Games looking to introduce a boy band to the game has been doing the rounds in the community. Data miners and leakers were confident about the inclusion of an all-boy musical group.

Recently, Riot Games posted a cryptic image on its socials and now fans are convinced that the rumors are true.

Here's all we know about the League of Legends boy band.

All We Know about the League of Legends Boy Band So Far

The League of Legends Boy Band has been a long-standing rumor in the community. Ever since Riot Games introduced Korean Pop (K-Pop) girl group K/DA featuring Ahri, Kai'Sa, Evelynn, Akali, and Seraphine, fans have been wanting to see an exclusive all-boy band.

Interestingly, over the last few months, various artists including members of K-Pop group Ateez — San, Seong Hwa, Yeosang, Yunho, Seonghwa, and Exo's Baekhyun were seen teasing a potential collaboration with Riot Games. This allowed fans to speculate about a potential Korean boy band in the making.

Potential Champions Featured in the League of Legends Boy Band

Some of the speculations about the champions featured in the League of Legends boy band came from Wild Rift, interestingly. According to Big Bad Bear, a prominent leaker and data miner in the community, the potential introduction of this band coincides with Yone's Prestige Skin's release.

Additionally, according to rumors, the champions who were featured as Cameos in Wild Rift's Arena Mode are the remaining members of the K-Pop boy band.

The Wild Rift Arena mode cameos are:

• Sett

• Ezreal

Alluding to this, another prominent data miner and YouTuber SkinSpotlight tweeted that the full lineup for the codenamed "Boy Band" skin line are as follows:

• Kayn (Legendary)

• Yone (+ Prestige)

• Ezreal

• Sett

• K'Sante

• Aphelios

He added, "First 4 [skins] + Prestige will also be coming to WR [Wild Rift] as well, K'Sante and Aphelios won't be because they don't exist over there."

Some of the clues that we can find in this image are as follows:

• Aphe_mix on the keyboard: Could refer to Aphelios' mix

• K'Sante's symbol on the car key

• A moon symbol on the dip tea

A lot of fans have speculated that the image is in Aphelios' point-of-view (POV), which could explain the moon tea and his name on the keyboard.

There is no doubt that Riot Games uses its original music to market cosmetics and in-game skins to its community. The first band created for this purpose was PentaKill, a virtual heavy metal band that debuted in 2014. The other two iconic music bands in the game are K/DA and True Damage.

Now, it will be interesting to see this boy band inside the game and what name this band dons in the Runeterra universe.

If fans are lucky enough, they could be treated to a live performance of this band during Worlds 2023 grand finals, like how True Damage and K/DA did in the past.
