Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been revealed, after it was rumoured to be the next game from Warhorse Studios, the developer officially confirmed it with a teasing reveal trailer, followed up by a 13-minute long gameplay reveal.

It’ll arrive on PS5 and other current-gen platforms sometime in 2024, and transport players back to medieval times in the town of Kuttenberg, which is also where Warhorse travelled to for the filming of its gameplay reveal.

This action-RPG will put players in the steel boots of Henry, a young man who narrowly survives an attack on his village, and rises from humble peasantry to a place in the court of kings.

Speaking to IGN, Warhorse Studios says that this sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance is “twice as big” as the first game, and that it’s story “has evolved – it’s darker, deeper, more cinematic, yet also crueler with pivotal decisions and plot twists that challenge the player’s conscience. Nevertheless, it retains its humor and down-to-earth approach..”

Even though this is just day one for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in that it’s only just been confirmed, it’s already looking like this sequel will be a total evolution of what Warhorse achieved with the first game.

Hopefully we’ll hear more about when it arrives on PS5 soon.
