Kaka and LaNm Return to Pro Dota 2 With Xtreme Gaming

Xtreme Gaming has announced its finalized roster for Tour 2 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023, with the roster lock date just around the corner. After being away from competitive Dota 2 for the last five months, Hu "Kaka" Liangzhi joins the team as one of the most mechanically skilled support players in China. Kaka replaces Xiong "Pyw" Jiahan, who recently parted ways with the team and joined Invictus Gaming.

In addition, popular player-turned-coach Zhang "LaNm" Zhicheng has joined Xtreme Gaming, replacing former coach Zhou "bLink" Yang, who departs due to health conditions after spending more than two years with the organization.

Xtreme Gaming revealed three big changes to its Dota 2 lineup in a series of Weibo posts. As a result, this is the Chinese team's final Dota 2 squad ahead of Tour 2 of the DPC 2023.

Inactive on Royal Never Give Up's roster since The International 11 (TI11), kaka watched the first season of the DPC 2023 from a distance and is now ready to put his skills to the test with Xtreme Gaming.

In a similar vein, LaNm, who has been away from competitive Dota 2 since his departure from Team Aster's coaching role after TI11, has made a return and agreed to take on the coaching role of yet another experienced Chinese team. With his extensive playing and coaching experience, the organization is looking forward to seeking the 33-year-old's services.

In the wake of the departures of bLink and Pyw, Xtreme has brought in two other veterans of Chinese Dota 2 in an effort to take performance to a higher level. Kaka's role as the position four will be of particular interest considering Dy and Pyw played together as a support duo in more than 700 games in three years.

Xtreme has seen good progress in patches but has been unable to showcase times of dominance or secure tournament victories, something the organization would be really setting its sights on now. The squad finished fifth in Tour 1 despite putting up a lot of effort throughout.
