Mayhem Studios has announced the closed beta of its upcoming battle royale game Underworld Gang Wars. After the recent community playtest, the gaming studio is gearing up to extend the gameplay to a larger audience who can get a chance to experience the game firsthand. Mayhem Studios is an India-based game development studio based in the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka and the studio is looking to tap into the first-person shooter space.
How to Register for the UnderWorld Gang Wars Closed Beta
The registration for the Closed beta has started and gamers can access it by filling in the form here. You will need to enter your name, email ID, and other basic information to be eligible for the beta. You will be contacted by the developer if you receive access to the game.

Speaking on the announcement, Ojas Vipat, CEO, Mayhem Studios, “We are excited to announce the close beta and make the game available to a larger audience. We look forward to seeing the reaction of UGW [Underworld Gang Wars] fans who have shown us great love and support ever since we announced the title’’.
He also added, “Our goal is to not only develop high-quality games and gaming related IP in India but also build unique titles that make a substantial impact on the gaming industry, both domestically and internationally. UGW is the first step towards this direction”.
UnderWorld Gang Wars Has Received Over 7 Million Pre-Registrations
After the official announcement of the game last year, UGW has received over 7 million Pre-registrations so far and has become a highly anticipated AAA game. This Made-in-India title is a first-of-its-kind battle royale game that has been developed specifically to incorporate Indian elements not only in the theme and characters but also flaunts game hotspots that are deeply rooted in India.
Recently, Mayhem Studios concluded the Alpha playtests where the team received positive feedback on the gameplay content and the mechanics. Earlier this month, Mayhem Studios also successfully conducted the first community playtest that was attended by eminent gamers and content creators like Dynamo Gaming (Aditya Sawant) and Rawknee (Ronodeep Dasgupta).
The game will be played in the first person perspective and allow the fans to play across all the 16 unique hotspots like the fort, the ghats, and the mandi, among others that will represent Indian locations in an AAA game for the first time. The players must take sides and join as gang members of either The Velvets or the Bhokal Toli to go ahead with the gameplay. They will also be able to play with the whole suite of weapons including the innovative weapons like the hammer and the Katta, which are poised to enhance the gameplay experience.
