How to return the flying bird phantasms to their rightful places in Genshin Impact

With update 4.6 out in the wild of Genshin Impact, there are a ton of new things to do like searching for the Shrines of Depth and new quests to complete. One of them will have you chasing birds around and putting them back in their correct place. This might be challenging, but we’ll show you how to return the flying bird phantasms to their rightful places in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: How to return the flying bird phantasms to their rightful places

To start this quest, you must have already freed Scylla. Once you do, aqueducts have to be restored. There are two of them, and they require some environmental manipulation to solve. Both of these aqueducts require different methods to rebuild, which is why I’ll separate them. 

First Golden Aqueduct

To start, make your way to the northwest section of the Sea of Bygone Eras. You should find Scylla here, and they’ll show an object in front of a mural. This will start a puzzle. The objective of this puzzle is to align the horn with the mural behind it. So while you’re using that object that Scylla pointed at, move the camera around till the horn matches the image’s outline. If you do this right, birds will start appearing. 

Next, you have to guide three birds to their position on the mural. So go up to them to get them to fly towards the mural. Keep on navigating them until they stop moving.

Once you’re done that, there will be a reward to obtain and a cutscene to watch after you’ve been led out of the cave. 

Second Golden Aqueduct

You’re halfway done, but this is where things get slightly tricky. Much of what you’ll be doing to fix the second aqueduct is just a repeat of the first one. Simply find the object that moves the camera so the horn aligns with the mural. Again, if done right, more birds will show up. 

The one thing to note is that for the first one, it was underwater, and swimming made navigating easier. For the second aqueduct, you’ll be walking instead. To make matters a little more interesting, some bird’s path this time around will be blocked off.

There will be a bird that is blocked by slime, so switch to a character that can shoot arrows to knock out the slime. The slime balls will appear again, when they do, just fire at them. One of the birds is located right in front of the mechanism, you can use the jellyfish to reach it. The third bird will be on top of the horn. Again, this area can be reachable if you use the jellyfish on the left of the device. 

After all is said and done, a cutscene will play and you’ll get another chest to open.
