Football Manager 2024 is the latest and greatest management-style game from the stables of Sports Interactive. This upcoming title boasts a slew of refreshing updates such as new game modes, numerous quality-of-life changes, and visual enhancements in the form of ball physics, lighting, player animations, etc. Although these changes make the game more approachable to new players, taking on the role of a manager for a huge football organization is no simple task and it can sometimes be incredibly overwhelming. If you find yourself unsuccessful in your managerial career with the board breathing down your neck, you might consider handing in your notice to get away from everything. Here’s how you can do it.
Quitting Your Job in Football Manager 2024
Resigning from your job in FM 2024 is quite an easy process as there are no pesky notice periods that you will have to work through. Here’s what you need to do:
From the game’s main menu, head to the My Profile page
Navigate to My Contracts
You will find a drop-down menu with three different options; Resignation, Retirement, and the option to go on Vacation for a while.
Click on the option to Resign
You will receive a prompt on your screen, asking you to re-confirm your choices.
Select Confirm
Once you have handed over your resignation, the board will accept it and you will be taken to the news screen where you will receive suggestions to unfollow specific news items pertaining to your old job.
After making your choices, you can immediately begin looking for a new job, although it does depend on the relationship you had with your previous employer. If you had a good relationship with your previous club and produced some worthy results, other teams will be quick to hire you. However, if you resigned because you found it difficult to grind through a bottom-tier organization, you might have to wait a while before you begin receiving offers again.
Keep in mind that this decision to quit will only affect your current save file, you can still continue the career that you have established on your other save files. This option applies to both the PC and Console versions of the game and it should be a similar process in the mobile version as well.
