How to make Polymer in Palworld

Polymer is a complex material in Palworld that you’ll have to make yourself from numerous other resources. You’ll need it as your approach the mid-game, and you’ll need a load as you go into the end-game.

Making Polymer in Palworld

Polymer is needed to craft and repair higher quality weapons in Palworld, as well as a few structures. Considering how much you’ll need, the fact that it only requires one resource is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing as it only requires one resource for you to obtain, and a curse as that resource is two High Quality Pal Oils.

High Quality Pal Oil is not something that can be farmed through the Ranch. It is strictly a Pal drop, meaning you’ll need to do a hefty amount of fighting or capturing to grab the masses you’ll need.

Also, you’ll need the Production Assembly Line to actually craft it.

At level 33, you’ll be able to unlock Polymer for 2 Technology Points, making it available to craft at the Production Assembly Line. If you haven’t built it already, you’ll need:

100 Ingots
10 Nails
50 Wood
10 Cement

This is a rather large list, so you may need to set up an Ore base to quickly fund it and any future Ingot needs.

Once it’s built, you won’t be able to start building things right away. You’ll need a Power Generator, which requires a further 50 Ingots and 20 Electric Organs. Yay for even more Ingot refining.

Once an Electric-type Pal has powered up the Power Generator, it’ll be able to provide electricity to the Production Assembly Line for you to order the crafting of Polymer. As long as you have High Quality Pal Oil, you’ll be able to make as much as you want. But then comes the mass obtainment of such a resource.

How to farm High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld

As High Quality Pal Oil is only a Pal drop in Palworld, you’ll need to find the best spot to go to town. Both Digtoise and Dumud drop High Quality Pal Oil, and they can be both found in the desert in the middle of the map. I personally find this the best way to harvest High Quality Pal Oil if you have some strong Grass-type Pals.

You’ll find plenty of them around the shores and lots of Digtoises around the desert. They spawn in around level 20, so bring a Grass-type Pal that’s around your level. A level 32 Robinquill will decimate them in droves with the Grass Tornado skill.
