How to Get Rocket League Cars in Fortnite

5 months ago 115

With the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, you can now get some of the most iconic cars in Rocket League in Fortnite. To do so, you just need to play Fortnite and Rocket League on the same Epic Games account. If you have not linked your Rocket League (Psyonix) account to Epic Games yet, we have you covered with this guide that will go over the linking process. Once your accounts are linked, you can get your Rocket League cars in Fortnite in no time.

How to link Rocket League to Fortnite

Linking your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account allows you to share your progress, inventory, and Rocket Pass across all platforms. This means you can play on your PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch and pick up right where you left off, regardless of which platform you're using.

Here's how to link your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account:

  1. Go to the Rocket League activation page: https://www.rocketleague.com/activate/

  2. Click "Log In".

  3. Sign in to your Epic Games account.

  4. Click "Check Setup".

Choose your primary platform. This is the platform you want your Rocket Pass progress and competitive rank to be tied to. You can only change your primary platform once every 24 hours, so choose wisely and click "Confirm".

Your Rocket League account is now linked to your Epic Games account. You can now play Rocket League on any platform using your Epic Games credentials and enjoy a seamless experience across all devices.

Do note that you can link up to five Epic Games accounts to your Rocket League account. If you've already played Rocket League on a platform before linking it to your Epic Games account, your progress and inventory will be automatically merged.

You can unlink your Rocket League account from your Epic Games account at any time, but you'll lose access to your shared progress and inventory on other platforms.

How to get your Rocket League cars in Fortnite

“Cars” is a new section in players’ Lockers. Cars are built with three new types of Locker items: Car Bodies, Decals, and Wheels. All players have the OEM Wheels from Rocket League in their Locker right now! With a Car Body and Wheels, you have all you need for a Car.

Note: Car Bodies, Decals, and Wheels grant no competitive advantage.

So once you have a Car assembled you can enter a Sports Car in Fortnite Battle Royale or an applicable creator-made island, then watch it turn into your equipped Car. The Sports Car will keep the look of your equipped Car the entire match, even if you exit it and someone else enters it. To start, players can transform only one Sports Car per match/gameplay session.

If you own the Octane, Cyclone, Jäger 619, or Lamborghini Huracán STO Car Bodies in Rocket League, you also own them in Fortnite automatically. All you need to do is link your accounts by following the steps we listed earlier in the guide. Car Bodies will soon be available in the Fortnite Shop via bundles that include other Car items. There’s also a Car Body in the Battle Pass that you can get.
