Hogwarts Legacy map size and locations

The Hogwarts Legacy map allows fans to visit many of their favourite locations around the wizarding world. Whether you want to explore every mystery the castle holds, grab a drink in Hogsmeade, or just wander the gorgeous mountainous landscape, there’s something for you.

The Hogwarts Legacy early access period is underway now, with the full Hogwarts Legacy release date coming on Friday, and thanks to having spent the last week or so with the game for our Hogwarts Legacy review, we can reveal the full map. The open-world game is absolutely massive, with plenty of locations to explore, so it’s not hard to see why many places reckon it could be one of the best PC games this year. Here’s everything you need to know about the Hogwarts Legacy map including all the regions and major landmarks you can explore.

Let’s start with the full Hogwarts Legacy map. The images above show off the entire map, and all 14 regions:

It’s impossible to fly from the very top of North Ford Bog to the bottom of Clagmar Coast, because when you reach Coastal Cavern, you must dismount and walk through this area filled with enemies. We don’t have the exact dimensions, but the Hogwarts Legacy map is enormous, so if you were concerned about not having enough freedom since the focal point of the game is the school, you’d be mistaken. The fastest way to travel around is via the Floo Flame locations, once you’ve unlocked them all.

Hogwarts itself has its own map, because as you’d expect, the school is full of twisting corridors, towers, and mysteries to solve. There are at least 32 fast travel points in Hogwarts itself, from the common rooms for the best Hogwarts Legacy house to the Great Hall where the Sorting Hat ceremony takes place.

You’ll be referring to the Hogwarts map often when hunting for the Daedalian keys and Gobstone locations. These are the seven different regions within Hogwarts itself:

• South Wing

Hogsmeade map

Finally, we have the map for Hogsmeade, the small shopping village for witches and wizards. This map is a little more straightforward, with three fast travel locations and a plethora of shops to explore and purchase items from, including the Magic Neep location.
