With the newly released Mechanical Mayhem v29.10 update, players can finally journey through Lego Fortnite’s immersive world on four-wheeled vehicles like the Speeder, Offroader, etc. While this certainly makes traversal a whole lot easier, the game’s pre-existing items like the Glider still prove to be quite useful, especially when used in tandem with these new machines.
Although it might be a time-consuming process to acquire, the grind is well worth it, considering that you can effectively glide through the air and scout enemy locations or resource sites. Let’s cut to the chase and figure out how to make the Glider in Lego Fortnite.
How to Craft and Use the Glider in Lego Fortnite?
Before you can begin crafting the Glider, you need to make sure you have access to three different stations; the Spinning Wheel, Loom, and a Rare version of the Crafting Bench, all of which will help you create the necessary materials required to make the Glider. Here’s the recipe:
X8 Flexwood Rods
X4 Wool Fabric
X6 Silk Fabric
First, you must take out as many Spiders as you can to obtain Silk from them. These creatures die just from one hit and are predominantly found in groups beside Rocks or inside Caves. Next, you need to pet Sheep found grazing the Grasslands to obtain Wool as a drop. After this, you need to deposit these resources into your Spinning Wheel to acquire Silk Thread and Wool Thread.
To obtain Wool and Silk Fabric, you simply need to place them into the Loom and process it. While this sounds simple enough, you need to know that you will need x5 Silk and Wool Threads to produce x1 of Silk or Wool Fabric, so make sure you gather an abundance of these resources.
Collecting the final ingredient requires you to venture out into the Dry Valley desert biome and chop down Cacti using a Rare Forest Axe to obtain Flexwood. For those unaware, the Rare Forest Axe can be crafted using x5 Cut Amber and x3 Knotroot Rod. After gathering Flexwood, you need to process it through the Lumber Mill to get Flexwood Rods.
Now, all you need to do is head to your Rare Crafting Bench and make the Glider by finding its blueprint underneath the Crafting Recipes tab. Using the Glider is a pretty simple process, and all you need to do is equip it to your inventory and reach a hilltop or other elevated areas. You need to jump from the edge and then press the Jump key again while mid-air to deploy the Glider and soar through the skies.
With the new update, you can use the Glider strategically, to catch enemies by surprise. You can park your vehicle on a hilltop or an elevated area next to a Bandit Camp and glide down, or simply scout the area and easily spot resources and cave locations.
