Team SouL’s professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh recently praised the leadership skills of the team’s in-game leader (IGL) Sahil “Omega” Jakhar. Hector added that he has been learning how to lead the team and implementing his techniques in the games. Although he was confident that he had the potential to become the best IGL in India, he stated that he was not ready. He added that Omega is the best IGL, and he will continue to learn from him until he retires from the game.

Hector praises Omega for his IGL skills

In a recent livestream, Hector received a compliment from one of his viewers who praised him for his skills as an IGL. Responding to this, Hector expressed his gratitude to the viewer and shared that he had been actively learning how to lead the team from Omega and implementing his techniques in the games. “One day, I will learn completely; Omega will retire someday in the future, and then I will be the IGL,” he added.

Following the departure of Arjun “SHADOW” Mandhalkar from TSM to GodLike Esports’ BGMI roster, TSM has been left without an IGL and is actively seeking a new IGL to join its team. One of Hector’s viewers hypothetically asked him if he received an offer to join TSM as an IGL, would he be interested in joining the organization. Hector was quick to state that he would reject the offer. However, he acknowledged that he has the potential to become the best IGL in India, but he expressed his belief that he was not ready yet and needed to learn more about it. “According to me, Omega is the best IGL in callouts as well as playing. I cannot learn better than Omega, from anyone else. I will learn from him, and in the future, I will become IGL. If he leaves the game, he will make me an IGL,” he added.

In December 2022, Team SouL loaned Hector to TeamXSpark to play the Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open India as the team’s IGL. The team qualified for the grand finals of the tournament and finished in 16th position. Following this, his performance improved over time. In February, he won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Esports Wala ELITE SCRIMS with 52 finishes in 25 matches. However, following the conclusion of this tournament, Hector decided to quit New State Mobile and switch back to BGMI.
