Hebereke Enjoy Edition announced for Switch

City Connection has announced Hebereke Enjoy Edition, a new version of SUNSOFT‘s side-scrolling action adventure game Ufouria: The Saga for Switch. It will launch on March 28 for 1,490 yen with English and Japanese language support.

About

Hebereke was originally released by Sunsoft in 1991 as an action-adventure game for the Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System). Now, it has been revived is the form of the Enjoy Edition. The “Enjoy Mode” can be enjoyed by beginners, and features quick save / load and rewind functions. Other features include continuous shooting (continuous jumping), which makes it easier to perform Hebe’s Yojinobori and other tasks, and the challenge of a total of 35 achievements, which can be attempted using convenient new features. In “Speedrun Mode,” which allows players to record the time it takes them to clear a puzzle, they can compete with players around the world for the total time in Ranking.

Introduction

Long ago, this world was once a peaceful place, but that peace was lost when this big war began. The war engulfed the world around it, twisting space-time and causing the world to collapse as we know it. Hebe, the hero of the story, fell into a rift in time and space in wake of this war. Hebe was heartbroken, but he eventually regained his composure and decided to start an adventure to return to the original world.

Characters

• Hebe – My name is Hebe.I am the main character of this story! I’m fast, and I can also climb walls!
• Ochan – My name is Ochan. I am the only one who can walk on the surface of the water and walk on the ice. Ha ha ha ha.
• Sukezaemon – My name is Sukezaemon. I am sure I can be useful because I have great jumping skills.
• Jennifer – Hey, my name is Jennifer. I’m as good in the water as anyone else! Well, if you want to dive, leave it to me!

New Modes

You can switch between three different modes in this game. (The default mode is “Enjoy Mode.”)

• Enjoy Mode – A beginner-friendly mode that comes with the Rewind function or the Quick save / load function. Other challenges, such as Hebe’s wall climbing and Jennifer’s rapid ascent from underwater, can be made easier with continuous firing (jumping), and a total of 35 achievements can be challenged while using these convenient functions. (The Rewind function can be enabled or disabled in the Options menu.)
• Speedrun Mode – This is the mode to see how fast you can clear the game.In RANKING, you can compete with users all around the world by total time and challenge to set a new record! In addition to the total time to clear the game, the time to pass check points are also recorded.

Convenient Features

• Rewind – You can rewind anytime by pressing the Rewind button. (This function can be enabled or disabled.)
• Quick Save / Load – You can save and load your play anytime. Up to 12 slots can be saved.
• Achievements – In Enjoy mode, the status of achievements can be displayed. (Achievement display can be optionally switched on / off.)
• Rapid (Jump) Button – Hebe’s wall climbing and Jennifer’s rapid ascent from underwater, can be made easier with continuous firing (jumping)!
