After tons of rumors and speculation, Rockstar has finally unveiled the Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1: Release Date, arguably one of the most highly anticipated games of all time. Many expected to see the GTA 6 trailer during the Game Awards on 7th December, but publisher Take-Two Interactive has chosen to not share the spotlight with the popular awards show.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1 Will be Released on 5th December
Rockstar Games made an announcement post on its social media handles which unveiled the Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1’s release date to be 5th December at 9 AM ET / 12 PM PT / 8 AM CT / 7:30 PM IST
Numerous fans were surprised to see the announcement’s artwork resemble the theme of most leaks and speculations accumulated over the years. The post contains palm trees and a Vice City-like sunrise, making the rumors seem plausible. This hints that the game might feature a Miami-like setting, and return to the iconic world of Vice City after 21 years.
Although there has not been any confirmation regarding the leaked dual protagonists which includes the first female protagonist in GTA’s 3D universe, we can be sure to at least get a glimpse of it in the trailer.
Many are also expecting the Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1 to announce the game’s release date which is currently expected to be somewhere between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025. If not the exact release date, we can be sure that the studio will at least reveal the release window for GTA 6. This is considering the fact that Take-Two Interactive is predicting a drastic increase in revenue for its investors.
According to a report from Bloomberg, the company is targeting $8 Billion in net bookings and $1 Billion in adjusted unrestricted operating cash flow. They expect to reach this by the fiscal year of 2025 and one way to achieve this goal is by the release of this long-expected title.
GTA 6’s predecessor GTA 5 has sold a whopping 190 million copies so far, thanks to its stellar campaign and wildly popular online mode. The game continues to be one of the most popular titles on Steam and hence the hype for the Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1 is at an all-time high.
That is pretty much everything there is to know about the upcoming trailer. Fortunately, we do not have to wait too long to get a glimpse of the game as it is only three days away.
