Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.29 For PSVR 2 Coming February 21

Polyphony Digital has announced that the Gran Turismo 7 update 1.29 patch for PSVR 2 support on February 21, just one day before Sony’s next-generation VR headset hits retailers.

Writing on the official Gran Turismo website, the studio highlighted some of the advantages that the PSVR 2 version of the racing simulation title will bring to users.

GT7 takes full advantage of PSVR2’s next-gen features. Utilising specially optimised HDR tone mapping, as well as foveated rendering from the eye-tracking feature (a technology that renders areas of the screen that the player is directly looking at in high definition), and dynamic 3D audio support, players will experience a whole new dimension of highly immersive gameplay.

PSVR 2 is launching for February 22, 2023 and will retail for $549.99/£529.99. Sony has announced that the device will be supported by around 30 games during its launch window, including Horizon: Call of the Mountain.
