2 months ago 40

On Dota 2 streamer Aleksandr "Nix" Levin’s recent Twitch stream, BetBoom Team’s Danil "gpk" Skutin talked about some notable mid-laners in the current Dota 2 pro scene. Gpk explained how it was to play against these mid-laners who could be considered the best of the best in the Dota 2 community. He talked about Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, Denis "Larl" Sigitov, and Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak and gave insights into what it is like playing against these pros.

Interestingly, gpk said Team Falcons’ mid-laner and BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai winner Malr1ne only plays well when he is on his signature heroes.

gpk’s Opinion on Some of the Top Mid Laners of Dota 2

BetBoom Team’s gpk is one of the best mid-laners hailing from the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) region. According to a report by dota2.net, gpk recently talked about other top-tier mid-laners. On the question of coming across an opponent who is harder to face, gpk confidently replied, “I wouldn't say it's hard for me against anyone.”

gpk further added, “I just always know there's going to be a good matchup against Quinn, Nisha.” gpk also reportedly noticed that the Chinese mid-laners have been a bit dull lately.

Interestingly, the winner of The International 2023 and Team Spirit’s mid-laner Larl was also brought up in the conversation. gpk said it used to be easy to go against Larl earlier, but added that he has now improved a lot. gpk reportedly said, “Usually just free. But actually, Larl, if you look at the last year, he's really improved in that regard. Before, yeah. Now I wouldn't say it's exactly free-flowing. He's good on the line, he knows what's required of him.

Lastly, talking about Malr1ne, the winner of BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai, gpk said, “He's good. On his heroes, he plays very well, what can I say.

It should be noted that Team Liquid’s Nisha recently won the solo tournament at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai and took home $50,000. The solo mid-tournament saw the participation of a few of the best mid-laners in Dota 2 including gpk himself. However, gpk lost against Nisha in the semi-finals of this solo tournament and was eliminated.

Gaimin Gladiators' (GG) Quinn, on the other hand, was easily one of the most successful mid-laners in 2023. GG took the pro scene by storm and secured several major wins but was unable to claim the Aegis at The International 2023.
