The Gothic Remake Collector’s Edition has been unveiled today by THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive, which features a copy of the game and a host of physical goodies for $199.99/£169.99.
The Collector’s Edition includes a leather wristband, a leather notebook, and the original soundtrack for the game. Preorders are now open if you’re interested in putting your name down.
Gothic Remake is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and is a full overhaul of the classic 2001 title which sees players returning to the colony as the Nameless Hero. The Gothic Remake features enhanced combat that spruces up the mechanics for modern audiences, as players rediscover the world of the mining colony and its secrets.

The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by an implacable horde of orcs. King Rhobar II, in need of a large quantity of magical ore required to forge powerful weapons, operates the Khorinis mines with all available prisoners. To prevent them from escaping, the monarch asks his best magicians to create a magical barrier.
The original Gothic was developed by Piranha Bytes and released in 2001 for the PC, attracting rave reviews from critics and takes place in a medieval-inspired fantasy realm where humans are embroiled in a losing battle with Orcs. To turn the tides, the King requires magical ores to be extracted from mines, which can be used to forge powerful weapons; he sends every criminal he can muster into the mines to do just that.
Gothic puts players in control of one of the prisoners thrown inside the mining colony, although is criminal activities are not revealed. This forms the basic back story of Gothic as players embark on quests, slaying monsters and acquiring skill points to improve their character.
The Gothic Remake has yet to attract a release date at the time of writing.
