Gods Reign Wins Blink Entertainment's CS:GO Pro League Season 1

Blink Entertainment had hosted the CS:GO Pro League Season 1 from 28th August to 10th September to promote one of the most iconic competitive shooters across India, featuring a total prize pool of INR 1,00,000 and eight teams competing for the championship title.

After many weeks of hustle, Gods Reign has come through as the winner, establishing itself as one of the best CS:GO teams from India recently.

The team was previously crowned as the champion of Skyesports Masters 2023 CS:GO, the most significant event for the title to take place since the game's return in the country, and now it has followed it up to obtain another feather for its cap.

Gods Reign is Crowned as Champion of Blink Entertainment's CS:GO Pro League Season 1

All eight competing teams had qualified for the tournament through the open qualifiers and were split into two groups of four teams each. From both these groups, the top two teams qualified for the playoffs, following which the champions were crowned.

Gods Reign was at its dominant best from the start till the end, topping its group with a flawless 3-0 run and then went on to defeat both FiredUp Gaming and Marcos Gaming to win the tournament.

Semifinals

Gods Reign secured a comfortable victory against FiredUp Gaming, receiving a free win in its first game in the form of a forfeit and handing a 16-8 defeat on Mirage to secure a 2-0 series win along with a spot in the grand finals.

Grand Final

Marcos Gaming was the winner of the other group, qualifying for the playoffs with a clean 3-0 scoreline. The team was the best possible opponent to go against Gods Reign and the best-of-three series was a close clash, going down to the decider.

Gods Reign went down early, facing a 16-14 loss to Marcos on Inferno, but mounted a successful comeback with consecutive wins on Ancient and Overpass with 16-9 scorelines.

The team was able to pocket a sum of INR 40,000 for winning this tournament, followed by Marcos Gaming walking away with INR 30,000, and the remaining two teams, LOT Gaming and FiredUp Gaming, getting INR 15,000 each.

In addition to this, all these four teams have also secured a permanent slot for themselves in Blink Entertainment's CS:GO Pro League Season 2.

Gods Reign has now won two CS:GO tournaments, Skyesports Masters 2023 CS:GO and Blink Entertainment's CS:GO Pro League Season 1, establishing itself as one of the best teams from India while also painting a target on its head as the team to defeat in upcoming competitions.

It will be interesting to see how the lineup goes on to perform from here on out in future tournaments.
