Ghostwire: Tokyo is coming to Xbox and Game Pass

Originally released for PlayStation 5 and PC, it has just been revealed that Ghostwire: Tokyo will now be heading to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass.

A year after its original release, Bethesda today announced that Ghostwire: Tokyo will now be available to Xbox players in April. Despite the game being owned by Microsoft, a deal prevented it from coming to Xbox during its launch. 

The team at Tango Gameworks say the game has expanded massively since it was first released. As a result, this new update will add new content, including a new challenge for the Spider’s Thread game mode. 

What’s new for Ghostwire: Tokyo?

As mentioned, the Spider’s Thread game mode has received new challenges. The developer had this to say during today’s announcement:

“The Spider’s Thread game mode tasks players to navigate a 30-stage gauntlet selected from over 120 hand-crafted levels with one simple goal: get to the end. As players clear challenges and complete stages, they will unlock more skills and earn in-game currency to spend on upgrades.”

Additionally, the new update will include new locations including the Middle School as well as new enemy types such as Silent Gaze and Retribution. The supernatural action-adventure game also promises new powers, missions, collectibles and much more.

Finally, the developers have also announced an update to the Ghostwire: Tokyo story. This will include “extended cutscenes, granting players a deeper look into the plot.”
