Hoyoverse has revealed Clorinde as the latest playable character coming to Genshin Impact sometime in the near future, and players are incredibly excited for this new Electro sword user.

With Genshin Impact version 4.6 already here, it’s time to look ahead to version 4.7 and the arrival of Clorinde and other newly revealed characters. Fontaine’s cast just gets better and better with every new patch, and Clordine continues that tradition with a truly unique kit that positions her as one of the best Electro DPS units that the game has seen in quite some time.

Genshin Impact Clorinde Release Date

Clorinde is slated to be released alongside Genshin Impact’s version 4.7 update. Genshin Impact version 4.7 will go live on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Hoyoverse hasn’t yet revealed the gacha banners for version 4.7, so Clorinde will either be released on June 5 or June 25 depending on which phase she’s a part of.

"…Word to the wise, friend. The evidence against you is irrefutable. If you want to uphold your honor, atonement is an option. You could still do much good… There's no need to resort to a duel. I mean, your opponent is #Clorinde. *That* Clorinde, you hear? Oh, for the love of… pic.twitter.com/NkP41jZHnx

Based on her kit and design, Clorinde is no doubt a 5-Star character so she’ll be prominently featured on one of the two banner phases for version 4.7. You’d better start saving your Primogems now.

Genshin Impact Clorinde Abilities and Kit

Not much is known about Clorinde’s abilities at the moment, but Genshin Impact leaker Foul has revealed some basic information about her weapons and kit.

Clorinde will wield a gun along with her sword. Her primary ability (E) will stab with her sword and dodge incoming attacks with invincibility frames and high damage. She performs well with elemental reactions and has a similar ability to Neuvilette where each reaction with her Electro damage will buff her in some way.

She also has follow-up attacks, likely with her pistol, that have a chance of triggering when she strikes an enemy with her sword. This info comes from her first Constellation upgrade, which guarantees a 100% chance of a follow-up attack on every normal attack. Finally, her talent allows her to utilize Bond of Life to increase her crit rate on top of that.

Ultimately, Clorinde’s playstyle revolves around dodging enemy attacks and building Electro reactions with the rest of the party. Maximizing her follow-up attack chance will increase her DPS, but it’s not currently known how to trigger them outside of her C1 upgrade. She’s worth saving your Primogems for — as long as you didn’t already blow them all on Arlecchino.
