Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 16 will have a new game plus mode that will become available after completing the game.

With just days to go before worldwide release, promo for FF16 is in full swing. Now thanks to a livestream this Saturday, we now know that a new games plus mode will be available for those who have completed the story at least once.

Final Fantasy 16 New Game Plus Mode

This news comes courtesy of a livestream that saw Square Enix reveal the Final Fantasy Mode. This mode will allow players to unlock the new game plus mode in the main menu once they have completed the Final Fantasy 16 storyline.

As like other new game plus modes, this will allow players to dive back into the story but this time with their character level, abilities and equipment still intact. Additionally, the world will then have a raised level cap of 100 and a more difficult overall experience.

Enemies will be higher-level and you will also be able to earn yourself a gold trophy for completing FF16 in this mode.

The benefits don’t stop there. You will also have access to an Ultima Weapon to craft and training and challenge modes will also get a makeover in new games plus mode. They will become available in both Ultimania difficulty as well as a time-trial mode called Chronolith Trials.

Overall, this won’t be for the faint hearted.

FF16 Day One Patch

This news also comes alongside the announcement that a day one patch would be available for Final Fantasy 16. We reported about this yesterday so make sure to check that out if you want to see the patch notes.
