Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Square Enix’s latest entry in the ongoing FF7 remake project, contains recreations of several classic moments from the original, such as the parade honoring President Rufus Shinra’s newly acquired title. During this sequence, you’ll be asked to round up a few stray soldiers for the event, arrange them, and then march in formation as you put on a performance.

In total, you’ll need to find 10 groups of Seventh Infantry soldiers. Some are rather easy to find, while a few others are tucked away. If you spot a group of soldiers with red armbands, there’ll be a single trooper to talk to who’ll signal the rest to join you once you’re done chatting. Doing well in this segment will improve your relationships with Tifa and Aerith, as well as put you on your way to getting 100% completion in Rebirth.

How to find all the Seventh Infantry troops in Junon

You are free to acquire the troops in any order and can move onto the next sequence after collecting only five, but you won’t do as well in the parade as if you have all 10. Also, you’ll need to arrange the troops for the parade, which we’ll cover below.

Head over to where you can look out at the ocean and you’ll spot a group of Seventh Infantry personnel staring up at the big ‘ol Junon gun pointed southwest.

If you head into the weapon shop from the street, you’ll spot two soldiers checking out a small replica of the Junon cannon and some model kits they’re planning to purchase. Have a chat with them and they’ll join you. Note that if you enter the weapons shop from the shopping area, you’ll have to go downstairs to find these guys.

Head into the barracks and go up to the top floor. You’ll find a group of soldiers giving an interview to a TV reporter. Talk with them and they’ll join you.

Head into the item shop and you’ll find a few soldiers looking over some goods. Chat with them to get them to join your unit.

This location contains a nice reference to a strange collectible from the original Final Fantasy VII. Head down to the lower level of the Larboard Garrison and you’ll find a group of Seventh Infantry personnel standing around a table full of mini-soldiers…one might say, 1/35th scale.

Head up to the top floor of the barracks and you’ll find another group of soldiers who’ll join you after a quick chat.

When you enter the shopping center, you’ll spot Rude from the Turks going down into a bar. Follow him downstairs and some more troops will join you after the cutscene.

Go up to the third floor of the bookstore to find another group of soldiers who’ll join you after talking with them.

Head up the stairs next to the theater and enter the fancy-looking nightclub. Here you’ll find another group of soldiers (and a few familiar faces if you look around).

A screenshot shows the various formations (and difficulty levels) you can choose for the parade.

Once you’ve assembled all your troops, it’s time to configure the marching order for the parade. Hit L2 to start arranging them. Different assemblies will influence the difficulty of the upcoming parade sequence across three performances. The higher the difficulty, the better the reward—and and the boost toyour relationship levels with Tifa and Aerith.

If you choose security officers across the whole lineup, you’ll get the easiest parade sequences for all three performances. The difficulty levels will change in real time as you adjust the soldiers. So you can pick something that’s more balanced. But the most challenging and rewarding lineup consists of two grenadiers, two riot troopers, and one flame trooper.

The parade sequence isn’t easy, especially considering all the running around you have to do to gather up your troops. While you may miss out on a chance to improve your relationship with Tifa and Aerith if you don’t perform well the first time, you can always go back to the parade sequence by selecting Chapter 4 from the chapter select after finishing the game.
