'Operation Galuga' launches in Early 2024

The Contra franchise has had a bit of a rough ride in recent years.
Although fans and critics alike were generally receptive toward the 2011 title Hard Corps: Uprising, Konami put the franchise on ice for a total of eight years until the poorly-received Contra: Rogue Corps in 2019.
Yet fans have continued to eagerly await a new entry in the long-running series; one that would bring Contra back onto the right path and remind disillusioned players why it was such a great franchise to begin with. With Contra: Operation Galuga, developer WayForward Technologies is bringing the series back to its roots with a brand-new entry that acknowledges the past while looking ahead to the future.
