Far Cry 5 for PS4 and Xbox One updated to run at 60 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series

Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal have released an update for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Far Cry 5, which enables the game to run at 60 frames per second when played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

Additionally, Xbox Series users will be able to play Far Cry 5 at an enhanced resolution. Xbox Series X is capable of running the game at 4K resolution, while Xbox Series X will run it at 1080p resolution.

Since this is not a native PlayStation 5 re-release of Far Cry 5, the PlayStation 4 version will still run at 1620p when played on PlayStation 5.

Far Cry 5 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Luna. It is also available via PlayStation Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass.
