Fallout 4 was the best selling game across Europe last week.

According to GSD data (as reported by GamesIndustry.biz), the game saw sales increase by more than 7500% compared to the previous week, shooting it up to the top of the European charts.

GSD’s data tracks digital games sales in all European markets (with the exception of some publishers such as Nintendo), and physical game sales across 15 major European countries.

The enormous boost in sales for Fallout 4 is mainly down to a combination of the launch of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video, and heavy discounts being applied to numerous Fallout games to mark the show’s arrival.

The show, which is exclusive to Amazon Prime Video, was released in full on April 12 to widespread critical acclaim, with a current Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94% and an audience score of 88%.

Three other Fallout games also made the European top 10, with Fallout 76, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 coming in at numbers 8, 9 and 10 respectively.

Helldivers 2 was the second best selling game in Europe last week, followed by EA Sports FC 24.

The biggest leap was enjoyed by Fallout 4, which had been regularly hitting weekend peaks of around 20,000 – 24,000 for the past six months but saw a peak of 83,491 on Sunday, more than tripling its normal player count.

It was reported earlier this week that Amazon‘s Fallout TV show has been renewed for a second season, with production moving to California as part of a tax incentive.
