Altus Studio’s critically acclaimed Persona series is known for its aesthetically pleasing design along with its turn-based RPG combat and compelling narrative which has caught the attention of numerous RPG fans over the years. The last entry in the series is Persona 5 which got its global release all the way back in 2017.

With the launch of Persona 5 Tactica this month and the anticipated release of Persona 3 Reload, numerous fans are back on the hype train, eagerly expecting to see the next main entry, which will supposedly add another layer to Joker’s adventures. Let’s take a look at everything we know so far.

Persona 6 Might Provide a New Direction to the Franchise

As mentioned above, the series seems to be back on the radar for many fans with the release of Persona 5 Tactica and the upcoming Persona 3 Reload in February. Although there have been no official announcements from Atlus studios regarding Persona 6, there are numerous speculations and leaks floating around on social media platforms like Reddit and X (formerly known as Twitter).

According to X user who goes by @MbKKssTBhz5, who accurately predicted the release of Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload in the past, Persona 6 could be different from its previous entries as it is being developed by new staff members who might possibly take a varied approach to the game. He also mentions that the development structure of this rumored title starts with Persona 3 Reload’s team and other staff members who worked on other spin-off games. Although the rumored title might point the franchise in a new direction, we can expect it to retain all the core gameplay elements that fans have grown to love.

What Could Be the Possible Release Date of Persona 6?

Persona 6 was previously expected to be released in 2024 but since then, Atlus has announced the launch date of Persona 3 Reload, which is set to 2nd February 2024.  The studio also has a brand-new IP titled Metaphor: ReFantazio which is another RPG with a brand-new narrative and lore, which will also hit the shelves next year.

Furthermore, there will be another spin-off game from the series named “Asa” which is also expected to drop in 2024. Considering this, we can expect Persona 6 to be launched later in 2025, which will be almost a decade since Persona 5’s initial release in 2016.
