Evangeline Lilly On Jeremy Renner's Recovery After Breaking 30 Bones: "It's A Miracle"

Evangline Lilly recently visited actor Jeremy Renner, who broke 30 bones in a New Year's Day snow plow accident, and commented that Renner's recovery is a "straight-up miracle."

Speaking to Access Hollywood (via Deadline), Lilly said Renner has "recovered like a mofo." She said she got goosebumps when visiting Renner recently and seeing the progress he's made.

"I was like, 'Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What's happening?'" she said. "I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain. But he was wheeling himself around, laughing with friends. It's a miracle. It's a straight-up miracle."

Lilly, who plays Wasp in the Ant-Man series, went on to say that Renner is "made of something really tough." She added: "He is recovering incredibly, and it's beautiful. I'm so grateful."

Lilly and Renner appeared together in the 2010 Oscar-winning movie The Hurt Locker. They are actors in the same universe again in the MCU, with Lilly playing Wasp and Renner as Hawkeye.

Renner was run over by his own seven-ton snowplow on New Year's Day when trying to rescue a relative stranded in the snow. He spent time in the ICU and underwent surgery before moving back home to continue his recovery there.

As for Lilly, she'll be seen next in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which releases on February 17.
