ESL One Birmingham 2024 Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier: Teams, Scores & Schedule

ESL (Electronic Sports League) officially announced the return of ESL One to Birmingham in 2024. This marks the third time the renowned esports tournament will be hosted in the vibrant city. Dota 2 enthusiasts will finally be able to enjoy and savor Dota 2 in the United Kingdom (UK) between 22nd April 22nd and 28th April 2024.

ESL One Birmingham 2024 is the second ESL-organized tournament of 2024 after DreamLeague Season 22. It boasts a staggering $1 Million USD prize pool along with 26,640 EPT points up for grabs. While some big teams like Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom Team have made it safely to the main tournament through the EPT leaderboard, other teams have to go through rigorous regional qualifiers.

The Southeast Asian (SEA) region features some of the finest Dota 2 teams and eight teams are fighting for the sole spot from the region to play at the ESL One Birmingham 2024. So far, the competition has been far from boring. 

The SEA regional qualifier kicked off on 26th January and from here, only one team will make it to the main tournament. Here's everything you need to know about ESL One Birmingham 2024 SEA closed qualifier.

Featuring eight teams, the SEA regional qualifier is already one of the most competitive regions. While Blacklist International, Aurora, Execration, and Talon Esports received a direct invite to the closed qualifiers. Geek Fam and Bleed Esports made their way through the open qualifier #1 and Neon Esports and MAG.Indonesia through the open qualifier #2. Here are the timings for the upcoming games.

ESL One Birmingham 2024 brings a unique twist to the fore with an increased distribution of EPT (ESL Pro Tour) points. The tournament will allocate 22,520 EPT points among the participating teams, providing a greater incentive for top-notch performances. The EPT point distribution will be higher for the later tournaments. This will now be a recurring effect as the tournaments progress closer to an undisclosed tournament. The invitation process for ESL One Birmingham 2024 involves four directly invited teams, with the other eight fighting through qualifiers.
