1 month ago 39

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most promising and anticipated RPG titles of 2024, which is all set to release on 22nd March 2024. With Capcom setting sail to their new year with the sequel to the highly rated Dark Arisen, players are excited to dive into the new RPG. As it’s an open-world title, many players have been wondering if there are horses or rideable mounts. If you’ve been wondering the same, we’ve got you covered! Here’s everything you need to know about horses and rideable mounts in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Are There Any Horses Or Mounts?

Short Answer: No! Dragon’s Dogma 2 won’t have any horses or rideable mounts. The developers want players to travel to various in-game locations by walking. Even the first game was focused heavily on walking to locations while interacting with the environment and engaging in combat, and it seems like the sequel will expand on this element.

Are There Horses or Rideable Mounts to Use?

Dragon's Dogma 2

Although the game doesn’t have any mounts, you’ll have plenty of ways to fast-travel. You can use Ferrystones to go to a location directly or the brand-new Oxcarts as an alternative to traveling on foot. Keep in mind that Oxcarts can be attacked by dangerous creatures when you’re using them.

We’re used to seeing horses or other methods of transportation in modern-day RPG titles such as Starfield, Elden Ring, and more. However, Dragon’s Dogma 2 developers want to bring a twist to this aspect by making the map enjoyable so players won’t feel the need for a horse or any other mount. The team has focused on a development policy that makes exploring the world so fun that riding a horse would be a shame.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: All Release Platforms

Players can enjoy Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC when it releases on 22nd March 2024. There’s no word on a Nintendo Switch or mobile version of the game, as it’s purely next-gen released by Capcom.

That's everything you need to know about horses and rideable mounts in Capcom's upcoming Dragon Dogma sequel. For more guides, check out how you can fast-travel in Dragon's Dogma 2.
