Disney Dreamlight Valley Does Not Compute quest guide: All ancient artifact locations

1 week ago 54

Unlocking Oswald in Disney Dreamlight Valley requires completing three quests for Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE. After making music with Rapunzel and cooking an omelet for Gaston, EVE requires you to search for ancient artifacts during the Does Not Compute quest to craft an ancient processor.

Finding all five artifacts during the Does Not Compute quest requires using your royal tools in each region of Eternity Isle, which you can find using the map EVE gives you. Below are all five artifacts, their required tools, and their exact locations:

The first artifact, the Ancient Dictionary, requires you to enter the Glittering Dunes’ Plains area into Gaston’s hideout. The hideout is the area where you first discovered Gaston. Upon entering this area and descending the ramp, you’ll find a grey stone to your right, which you’ll break using your pickaxe to pick up the dictionary.

Your next destination is Ancient’s Landing, with three artifacts scattered around. The first artifact, the Ancient Processor Blueprint, requires you to find the secret hideout you initially discovered during EVE’s first memory in a previous quest. Head behind the waterfall near the Docks and use your hourglass to Timebend the area until you find the artifact.

Sometimes, the Ancient Processor Blueprint might not spawn, preventing you from progressing through the quest. If this happens, restarting your game or completing another quest first can help fix the issue.

After collecting the Ancient Processor Blueprint, your next destination is the secluded beach, which you first accessed when you learned to Timebend. Head to The Courtyard and travel east through the corridor until you reach the beach. Here, you’ll find a dig spot directly to your left containing the Ancient Processor Crystal.

The last Ancient’s Landing artifact is on the Overlook’s beach. Go to the Overlook, descend the stairs, and follow the path down until you find another small beach. Fish at the orange fishing spot to obtain the Ancient Slate artifact.

Your final artifact spot is in the Wild Tangle, directly east of the Sundial you repaired with Rapunzel in a previous quest. Go to the Grassland or The Grove and head east toward the stone platform. From here, you’ll find an island with a statue, where you’ll spot the last dig spot containing the Ancient Power Sphere.

Once you have all five artifacts, go to any Timebending table to repair the ancient processor. After making the processor, return it to EVE to encounter another small issue: EVE needs a Universal Adapter to use the processor.

How to get the Universal Adapter in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Now that you’ve returned the processor, it’s time to get a Universal Adapter for EVE. To do this, you must first return to EVE’s house and take a picture of the following items:

  • The round table with the alien plant on top.
  • The holograph picture next to the doorway.
  • The circular ceiling lamp.

The image below managed to knock out all three objectives simultaneously, including the lamp, holograph, and a sliver of the table. However, you can also use different angles to get each item individually.

Crafting the Universal Adapter

Once you take all three pictures, you’ll have to gather the following materials to craft the Universal Adapter:

  • Oasis Glass (10)
  • Plastic Scrap (15)
  • Copper (15)
  • Mechanical Parts (3)
  • Brass Ingot (2)

Most of these items are relatively simple, requiring you to hunt for materials like copper, zinc, and tin. You’ll spot copper around Eternity Isle, while zinc is exclusive to the Wild Tangle. Similarly, items like Oasis Glass are exclusive to the Glittering Dunes, and you must dig through the sand to find some. Another raw material, plastic scrap, is also easy to find by fishing anywhere in Eternity Isle.

You can also quickly get mechanical parts and brass ingots. In total, you need five brass ingots, which you make using copper and zinc. You’ll use three of the five ingots for mechanical parts, which require brass and bronze ingots.

In other words, you need the following raw materials, some of which you’ll convert into ingots and refined materials, to make the Universal Adapter:

  • Oasis Glass (10)
  • Plastic Scrap (15)
  • Copper (42)
  • Zinc (10)
  • Tin (3)
  • Coal Ore (8)

You’ll need some time to get everything you need, but at this point, it comes down to some grinding. By this point in the story, you’ll likely have most, if not all, biome locations unlocked, giving you free rein to explore Ancient’s Landing, the Wild Tangle, and the Glittering Dunes for these resources. The main obstacle is the time commitment, especially with items like Plastic Scrap.

Once you have all five materials, head to your crafting station to make the Universal Adapter before returning to EVE. Giving EVE the Universal Adapter officially marks the end of the Does Not Compute quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll also have to complete Gaston’s Hero Post quest and Rapunzel’s All the Right Notes mission to progress through the Ancient Ruins questline with Merlin.
