Farming XP in the Ruins of Eridu, and Diablo 4 in general, is best when playing in a group and being World Tier 4 or above. Solo players in World Tier 3 can also make use of the Ruins of Eridu as it will most likely still be better than other options available to them. It is also recommended that players make use of Diablo 4’s elixir system to boost the rate of acquisition for items.

When players participate in a party, they receive an experience point (XP) bonus and gain the ability to reset the dungeon for multiple clears. The method to achieve this involves the party leader leaving the group after successfully clearing the dungeon. As a result, the remaining players are automatically sent back to the game's Overworld. From there, they can promptly re-enter the Ruins of Eridu dungeon, which will have been reset due to the actions of the party leader. Subsequently, the party leader can recreate the party and repeat the process, allowing for efficient grinding and progression.

For players farming solo, dungeons that have been completely cleared will reset automatically if left unoccupied for 60 seconds. However, partially cleared dungeons require a longer duration of 150 seconds to reset. An important note for players using this reset method is that they should make sure not to leave any portals in the dungeon which will prevent it from resetting.
