Depresso in Palworld: Habitats, Breeding Combinations, Uses, and More

3 months ago 92

Depresso is arguably one of the best early-game Pals suitable for mining, transporting, and handiwork.

You can also use this Dark Pal to breed other Pals such as Hangyu, Flambelle, Kelpsea Ignis, etc.

Within Palworld’s extensive list of 138 creatures, a few stand out not for their remarkable combat prowess or rarity but for simply being irresistibly cute. One such Pal is Depresso, a Dark elemental creature that often goes unnoticed by many players due to its nocturnal appearance. Although it has a tiny and adorable stature, it can be surprisingly efficient at carrying out tasks around your base in the early-game stage. Let’s cut to the chase and figure out its habitats, work suitabilities, stats, breeding combos, and more.

Where Can You Find Depresso in Palworld?

Considering that Depresso is an early game Pal, you can find an abundance of them right outside the Plateau of Beginnings from Grassy Behemoth Hills. Finding them will not be an issue as long as you keep in mind that it is a nocturnal creature that can only be hunted down at night. You will find them spread across the entire southern coast of the map and even in some western regions as shown below.

Although it is relatively easy to hunt it down, you can also take a Dragon-type Pal as the Dark Pal is weak against it. Make sure not to have any Neutral-type companions in your party as Depresso will have the upper hand against them. Upon successfully capturing it, you will receive its Caffeine Inoculation partner skill, which drastically increases its movement speed, allowing it to work much faster than before. This skill contains numerous levels and it can be upgraded to significantly enhance its speed.

Furthermore, it is also possible to spot Depresso as an Alpha Pal in Hillside Caverns and Isolated Island Cavern dungeons. Upon capturing or taking down this Dark Pal, you will receive Venom Gland as a drop, which is used to make various poisonous items like Arrows, Gloves, etc.

  • Rooby + Depresso = Kelpsea Ignis

  • Cattiva + Depresso = Hangyu

  • Lifmunk + Depresso = Flambelle

While it does possess decent attacks like Nightmare Ball, Shadow Burst, and Dark Ball, it is certainly more useful as a worker on your base, thanks to its Handiwork, Transport, and Mining suitabilities. Although all of these are only at level 1, Depresso features potent passive skills to enhance its work such as:

  • Artisan: Increases work speed by 50%

  • Lucky: Increases both work speed and attack by 15%

If you are looking for the most accessible mining and transporting Pal in the early-game stage, look no further than the Dark Elemental Depresso. Note that the breeding combos were provided by Game8’s breeding calculator.
