Demon Piece races – chances and how to reroll

1 week ago 68

Each Demon Piece race unlocks certain passive bonuses, making one race undeniably better in certain situations.

With the ability to reroll your Demon Piece race, it’s important to know how lucky or unlucky you need to be to land on a specific one. Check out the race reroll odds below to know what you’re getting into before you risk rolling off a race that’ll do just fine.

Demon Piece races and odds

Here are the seven currently available Demon Piece races, the odds you have of rolling them, and the boosts and benefits they come with:

Human (30%)

Likely the default, starting race for every Demon Piece player, Humans have no inherent benefits. At the same time, that means they’re not immediately disadvantaged in any particular situation. If you want balance, this is the one to aim for.

Skypian (20%)

Skypians benefit from the ability to jump higher than the standard Human. They also have +1 Geppo: this essentially means they can double-jump to gain extra height and even use it to travel forwards slightly.

Fishman (15%)

As you’d expect, the Fishman race has the innate ability to swim faster than any other Demon Piece race. They can even swim while under the effects of a Devil Fruit—a task that usually means certain death for any other.

They can come in four difference appearances and five different colours.

Mink (15%)

Enjoying 15% movement speed boost and stamina, Mink is the best Demon Piece race for quickly getting around. Because of this, they excel at farming popular mob areas, where they’re able to scoop up enemies as quickly as they respawn.

Minks are available in three different animal-like appearances, but only one single colour.

Oni (10%)

One of the rarer Demon Piece races, the Oni has a flat 10% resistance to both Sword and Fighting Style attacks. If you don’t want to think about defence in battle, Oni could be the one for you.

They’re available in only one colour, but five potential appearances, which tweak their unique horns.

Cyborg (5%)

Get lucky enough to roll the Cyborg Demon Piece race and you’ll enjoy a game-wide 5% damage boost. Anything and everything will take more damage from your attacks regardless of style.

Cyborgs also have some of the widest colour and appearance options in the game, with five of each.

Lumerian (5%)

As a counterpart to the equally as rare Cyborg, the Lumerian race in Demon Piece racks up the pain with double Burn damage. Their basic M1 attack also has a chance to burn the target, potentially triggering this already brutal damage bonus. They’re also immune to Burn damage.

Unlike the Cyborgs, Lumerian characters can only come in two different appearance types and a single colour.

Odds, bonuses, and other data is sourced from the official Demon Piece Trello.

How to reroll your race in Demon Piece

Once you’ve spawned in for the first time, which is technically your first race roll, you’ll need to use Race Reroll Orbs to change your race again.

Race Reroll Orbs have a very low chance to drop from the Sand Dragon in Sandora and Thunder God in Skypiea.

You can boost your odds by using double-drop boosts from some Demon Piece codes.

Player skill will always trump any basic stat boosts, but the right choice for your playstyle can have a dramatic effect on the outcome of a battle.
