Cyberpunk 2077: Update 2.0 Release Date Coming Next Week

Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion is just around the corner, and it looks like the release of the 2.0 update could be coming even sooner! The futuristic RPG plans two major events this month: Phantom Liberty expansion and the 2.0 update.

The Phantom Liberty Expansion is set to release on 26th September, providing us with a timeline for the 2.0 update. Players have approximately two weeks to prepare themselves for the upcoming changes.

Adding to the update hype, Marcin Momot,  community director for CD Projekt Red, teased the news on X. Momot said, “We should be able to share details about the 2.0 release date next week. Thank you for your patience!” adding fuel to 2.0 update’s release date speculation.

Cyberpunk 2077: Features We Can Expect

The 2.0 update features a redesigned Skill Tree system. Limiter Removal Relic is also added, allowing players to launch enemies into the air with their bare fist.

Originally, Cyberpunk 2.0 had no vehicle combat, but this update aims to change that. Players will finally be able to engage in combat with enemies while driving. This system goes hand-in-hand with the revamped police AI system, which lets police behave more realistically

Additionally, the cyberware system will undergo a complete overhaul, introducing new ways to provide character customization and cybernetic enhancements. The update also plans to refresh the UI, giving Cyberpunk 2077 a fresh coat of paint.

Changes to loot, items, and crafting will revamp the game’s progression and economy, providing players with a more balanced and rewarding experience. Gamers can also expect new radio stations that will enrich the game’s atmosphere.
