In a recent interview with Chelsea F.C., Naman “MortaL” Mathur shared how he first started supporting the club and how the Blue Mode partnership came about.

He highlighted that he had interviewed Arjun Kapoor in the show’s first season and also interviewed Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah for the upcoming season of Blue Mode.

He also shared how he supports Chelsea from India and manages to watch their matches while working as a livestreamer.

Popular Indian gaming content creator Naman “MortaL” Mathur was recently interviewed by Chelsea Football Club (FC) ahead of the release of the second season of Blue Mode. MortaL shared how he first started supporting the club and how the Blue Mode partnership came about. He also revealed that he had already interviewed Indian Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and Chelsea players Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah for the upcoming season of Blue Mode. He also shared how he supports Chelsea from India and how he manages to watch their matches while working as a livestreamer.

Blue Mode is a show series by Chelsea F.C. that started last year with MortaL as the host. The show primarily focuses on discussions of all aspects of Chelsea F.C., with guests participating in FIFA 1v1 matches. It is not a hidden fact that Mortal is a huge fan of Chelsea, as he has mentioned it several times on his livestreams and Instagram handle.


MortaL reveals how he started supporting Chelsea F.C.

MortaL recently posted a picture with Chelsea’s football players Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah, hinting at the second season of Blue Mode.

Chelsea Football Club’s sports broadcasters Joe Flemmons and Elizabeth Helenek recently Interviewed MortaL before the Chelsea vs Leeds United match that took place on 4th March. The interview was broadcasted live on Chelsea Football Club’s YouTube channel. During this interview, Flemmons asked MortaL how his love for Chelsea started. Responding to this, MortaL shared the story of how he encountered Chelsea Football Club for the first time. “Ever since 2009, when I first started watching the Premier League because, according to the Indian time, it was very convenient to watch the premier league. I watched one of Chelsea’s matches, and they were winning that match, and I was like, “Okay, I’m gonna support this team.” That’s how casual it was, but ever since then, I’ve been supporting Chelsea unconditionally,” he said.

Flemmons asked MortaL about Blue Mode and how this partnership with Chelsea F.C. started. Responding to this, he revealed that it all began when he received an email from Chelsea about this Blue Mode series, where he was asked to interview popular personalities, either Chelsea fans or someone else who was interested in football. MortaL highlighted that he had already gotten the opportunity to interview Indian Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and Chelsea’s football players Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah. “The journey was absolutely amazing because I got to interview, for example, Arjun Kapoor. I interviewed him, and it’s going great. I interviewed Fofana and Chalobah too, and it’s going to be released very soon, so I’m super excited about that,” he added.


MortaL expresses his unwavering love for Chelsea F.C.

Flemmons asked MortaL how it felt to be present in the stadium. In response, MortaL shared that he had always watched the matches on television and had always loved the atmosphere of the ground. “This is the first time I’m going to feel it today, and that’s what excites me the most because this is a very important match, and I’m pretty sure we’re gonna make it,” he added.

Flemmons also asked MortaL about his favorite football player, to which he replied that it was Frank Lampard. “He’s my favorite… all-time favorite player,” he added.

MortaL also revealed how he supports Chelsea from India. “We have our WhatsApp groups, and we have those groups where all the football fans are there. We interact with each other, we troll each other, and that’s always something that goes on,” he said.


He also shared how he manages his work and watches Chelsea’s matches. “I am a livestreamer, gaming streamer, so while I’m streaming, I have this application on my mobile phone where I can watch the Chelsea match live. That is something that goes on like I have to watch that match no matter what, and irrespective of me streaming or doing whatever, I’ll definitely watch that match. Earlier, I used to watch it on television, but now it’s more like I have to work, so I’ll watch it on my mobile phone, but I’ll watch it,” he said.


With so much hype built, fans are excited to watch season two of Blue Mode. It will be interesting to see who will make an appearance on the show along with Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah.
