Capcom Looking At How To Make Mega Man Titles More Frequently

1 month ago 59

Capcom has said during its 45th ordinary general shareholders meeting Q&A that it is ‘considering’ how to develop new entries in the Mega Man franchise on a more frequent basis.

When asked about its future plans for the Mega Man series, Capcom responded, “Mega Man is one of our highly-valued IPs and we are considering how to create games for it on an ongoing basis.”

In the past 15 years we’ve not seen a huge amount of new Mega Man games, with fresh instalments arriving in the form of Mega Man 9 (2008), Mega Man 10 (2010), and Mega Man 11 (2018). The franchise has sold 41 million copies worldwide as of October 2023, and there’s a number of retro compilations available featuring the classic titles.
