Krafton has announced details about the premier BGMI esports tournament, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS).

BGIS 2023 The Grind started with 256 directly invited teams and has reached Round 2 where the remaining 128 teams continue to compete.

Here are details about all the 64 teams that have qualified for BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 3.

Krafton announced the pinnacle of competitive Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) last month, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS), which combines top and grassroots level competition to deliver something truly exciting.

BGIS 2023 features a total prize pool of INR 2,00,00,000 ($243,962 USD) and registrations for the tournament begin 24th July onwards. However, before this tournament Krafton has planned to execute BGIS 2023 The Grind, through which the top 64 teams will go on to compete in the main tournament.

This event is currently underway having commenced on 20th July and will continue to take place over the course of the next five weeks. Here are all the 64 teams that will qualify to the BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 3 out of the 128 competing in Round 2.


BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 3: Complete Details

BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 2 is currently underway and will be taking place across the next two weeks from 3rd to 6th August and 10th to 13th August.

All 128 qualified teams will compete across these two weeks but only half of them will qualify on to BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 3.

Here are all the teams that managed to grab a top-eight spot in their respective groups and qualified for the event ahead.

BGIS 2023 The Grind has been divided into five weeks with matches being played from Thursday to Sunday. Here is a quick look at the overall schedule and format.

BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 1

  • Week 1: 20th to 23rd July | Week 2: 27th to 30th July

  • Each week, 128 teams will compete, divided into 8 groups of 16 teams each.

  • Each group will play a total of three matches after which the top eight teams will qualify while the bottom eight teams will be eliminated.

  • Each week, 64 teams will qualify for Round 2.

BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 2

  • Week 3: 3rd to 6th August | Week 4: 10th to 13th August

  • Each week, 64 teams will compete, divided into 4 groups of 16 teams each.

  • Each group will play a total of six matches after which the top eight teams will qualify while the bottom eight teams will be eliminated.

  • Each week, 32 teams will qualify for Round 3.

BGIS 2023 The Grind Round 3

  • Week 5: 17th to 20th August

  • This week, 64 teams will compete, divided into 4 groups of 16 teams each.

  • This week, a round-robin format will be followed where every group will play a total of 12 matches.

  • Based on the overall leaderboard, the top 32 teams will qualify for BGIS 2023 Round 3 and the bottom 32 teams will qualify for BGIS 2023 Round 2.


It will be interesting to see which 64 teams get an opportunity to qualify for the main tournament, BGIS 2023. Half of them will get a head start by directly qualifying for the third round while the others will take a slot in the second round.
