Best ZZZ Bangboo ranked, their skills, and their leveling materials

3 days ago 44

What are the best ZZZ Bangboos? These cute, bunny-like androids aren’t just adorable mascots, but are actually incredibly useful tech to help navigate dangerous Hollows. While your player character docks into a Bangboo to explore Hollows, you can also take in an additional Bangboo sidekick as part of your squad to passively aid in combat.

These squad Bangboos are unlocked the same way as Zenless Zone Zero characters, and via a method familiar to other gacha games. Zenless Zone Zero Signal Searches can be purchased using in-game currency, and result in a random character, Bangboo, or ZZZ W-Engine reward as per usual gacha mechanics. Bangboo are available in their own Bangboo-specific searches, and you can even choose a preference, so our Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list will help you understand which you should be trying to draw.

ZZZ Bangboo tier list

Here’s every ZZZ Bangboo ranked from best to worst:

Tier Bangboo
S Plugboo, Amillion, Safetyboo
A Butlerboo, Bangvolver, Rocketboo, Resonaboo, Sharkboo
B Bagboo, Boollseye, Exploreboo, Cryboo, Electroboo, Penguinboo, Devilboo
C Paperboo, Sumoboo, Magnetiboo, Booressure, Avocaboo, Luckyboo

The rankings above are based on base Bangboo stats and their skills, but bear in mind that your chosen Bangboo should synergize with the rest of your squad in the best ZZZ team comps, so be sure to check their skills below. For example, Cryboo is a decent A-Rank Bangboo thanks to its powerful attack, but it’s skills are useless unless used with Fire Attribute characters. The tier list also differs slightly between early game and late-game, depending on which characters you’ve unlocked.

Plugboo

Plugboo has high base stats, specializing in attack, and synergizes with Electric characters. Electric being one of the most densely populated attributes is what makes Plugboo top our list, as you’re more likely to have a team to set them up with, and they work perfectly with one of our best team comps with Rina, Grace, and Anby.

Amillion

The Cunning Hares are not only the team you unlock first, but they’re also pretty good, especially considering the buffs they receive when placed on a squad together. Given Amillion’s synergy with the team, then, and it’s high base stats, this little green Bangboo is an undeniably good choice.

Safetyboo

As with those above, Safetyboo has great base stats but also has great synergy with a variety of squad members thanks to its Physical attribute, Belobog Industries affiliation, and Fire and Electric-centric skills – the latter intentionally working with Belobog characters’ attributes. The team of Ben, Koleda, and Grace is another of our top team comps, and Safety is their perfect companion.

A Luckyboo sits on the counter of Power Play.

ZZZ Bangboo level-up materials

To level up Bangboo, you need to talk with Enzo outside the remodeling shop once you receive a DM from him. Once he opens the remodeling shop, you can level up and optimize your Bangboo.

Here are all the materials required to level up your Bangboo:

  • Bangboo Software Patch (Level up)
  • Bangboo Algorithm Module (Level up)
  • Bangboo System Widget (Level up)
  • Concentrated Coolant (Optimization)
  • Dennies (Optimization)

A mix of System Widgets, Algorithm Modules, and Software Patches can be used to get your Bangboo through normal level ups, with each increasing in strength, respectively. As such, more Software Patches are required to level up your Bangboo than System Widgets.

Every ten levels, Bangboo require optimization to be able to further level them up, which instead requires Concentrated Coolant and a large amount of Dennies to unlock a higher Bangboo level cap. At the moment, the uppermost level cap is 60.

With all of this information on Zenless Zone Zero Bangboos and their level-up materials, you can get the perfect Hollow teammate to accompany you in combat. To get the Bangboos themselves, you need to complete Bangboo-specific Signal Searches, just like pulling Agents from other ZZZ Banners, so be sure to check for the latest Zenless Zone Zero codes for Boopons.
