Best Roblox RPGs in 2023

1 year ago 129

There’s no denying the fact that Roblox and RPGs tend to stick together like glue. Truth be told, it’s a pair that just makes sense, given the fact that the sandbox platform itself is a conduit for quite possibly millions of community-built creations. And it’s because of this that, like other multiplayer empires, people are immediately drawn to roleplaying and, above all, acting out their wildest fantasies. Bottom line is, RPGs are, without a shadow of a doubt, the undisputed kingpins in the realm of gaming—and in Roblox, too.

Anyway, if you are curious to know which of the countless playable RPGs have caught our attention over these past few weeks, then be sure to read on. Buckle up, Bloxershere are some of the best RPGs you can play on Roblox right now.

5. Vesteria

We’ll start out strong by placing Vesteria on the board, arguably one of the greatest MMORPGs on Roblox, period. What makes it so great? Well, for starters, it’s one of the cleanest action games around, as made clear by its smooth PvP combat and elementary progression system. Furthermore, it’s also one of the most best free-to-play dungeon-dwelling games, too, which alone makes it worth spending a few hours trudging through.

Like a lot of RPGs, the primary objective of the game is to build a character—an underdog fighter with a knack for evolving—and gradually work through the levels as either a Warrior, Mage, or Hunter. With an individual subclass to pursue for each and a whole world crammed full of PvP battles and quests, the world truly is your oyster in Vesteria, and it’s available in its entirety via the Roblox hub.

4. The Wild West

The Wild West elevates the gun-slinging cowboy concept by rolling in a rather impressive open-world playground, an intuitive PvP system, and a boatload of quests and pastimes. Although not quite on the same wavelength as Red Dead Redemption, it nevertheless supplies Roblox fans with more than enough material to go gallivanting around the dust-smothered canyons and crevices for hours on end.

There’s plenty to be explored in The Wild West, mostly in the PvP department, a feature that nudges you towards the idea of throwing down the gauntlet with fellow cowpoke. Add the fact that it’s also laden with a huge variety of weapons, mounts, and even a fatality system, and you’ve got yourself all the basic ingredients for a well-rounded Western RPG.

3. Terraria RPG

Terraria RPG is a beginner-friendly MMO that offers all the same perks as a seasoned one, but with a more balanced gameplay style that allows for newcomers to come to grips with the interface. At its heart, it’s a hearty RPG that favors character progression and quests in short bursts, but dig a little deeper and advance to a certain point and you’ll find that Terraria actually has plenty more stowed away beneath the surface.

Granted, Terraria isn’t the most advanced RPG on Roblox, but it is still an award-winning one nonetheless. The point is, if you are relatively new to either Roblox or the RPG genre in general, then there isn’t a better place to dip your toes than the somewhat forgiving world of Terraria and its various biomes. Also, if you have managed to whet your appetite with the original sandbox game of the same title, then you’ll no doubt feel right at home with the newly established RPG.

2. Royale High

Royale High is a fantasy RPG that lets you take on the role of a student at the prestigious Royale High School, a magical realm that tasks you with attending classes, achieving high grades, and earning Diamonds to unlock new features. Like a lot of high school-type RPGs, combat isn’t a feature, but more or less an afterthought that doesn’t really play a part in the overall narrative. Instead, gameplay revolves around developing a character and making a name for yourself in and around the Royale High campus, either through classes, quests, or extracurricular activities.

It may not be jam-packed full of mind-blowing action or anything even remotely chaotic, but it’s certainly swimming with enough magic to keep you on your toes for the long haul. So, if being a student and engaging in a fantastical world of endless wonders is your cup of tea, then make no mistake — Royale High is and perhaps always will be the place to be.

1. Jailbreak

Breaking into something that’s based in an entirely different ballpark, Jailbreak is an RPG that puts you in the weighty boots of either a police officer or a rebellious criminal. Set in a huge open world that’s bursting with opportunities for the narrow-minded to exploit and the justice-seeking saviours to dismantle, players can embark on one of the biggest cat-and-mouse adventures ever conceived for the Roblox domain.

The idea is sinple: as a criminal, you must bolt around the open world and cause as much trouble as remotely possible, doing all in your power to hijack a wide range of vehicles and bring terror to an otherwise quiet borough. If caught by the law, you will need to band together with other inmates to orchestrate a master escape plan, after which you will have the freedom to recreate your terrible mistakes. And then there are the officers, whose responsibility it is to spoil said mistakes and keep as many players behind bars as possible. It’s classic cops and robbers, and it’s one of the most addictive fantasy RPGs on Roblox, for sure.
