Additionally, he can expand the ammo capacity of their weapons, allowing them to fire more rounds before reloading. However, Enzo's damage-dealing capabilities are limited.

9. Ajax (A Tier)

Ajax is one of only three characters that you can choose when starting. He is a tanky character whose Void Energy accumulates the more he uses his skills, making him increasingly stronger as the battle progresses. Moreover, he can put down shields and barriers on the battlefield to protect his teammates.

However, while Ajax has good defense abilities, he lacks decent damage-dealing abilities. As such, he needs a squad with good offensive skills to counteract this shortcoming. It is also worth noting that he has a longer cooldown period, limiting how often you can use his abilities.

Lepic is also one of the three starter characters in The First Descendant. His strength lies in his powerful AoE attacks, which he unleashes using grenades powered by Overlock to add burning damage. Additionally, he can use traction grenades to pull enemies to one spot.

Interestingly, Lepic’s buff enables him to stop further damage and recover HP when he experiences fatal damage. However, he moves rather slowly and requires mods to use most of his abilities.

7. Blair (B Tier)

Blair is the game’s arsonist, and his trick is to light enemies on fire before shooting them. He can launch Flame Zones that burn enemies upon touch, damaging and weakening them. More Flame Zones increase Blair’s critical rate, making him more lethal. Moreover, he can use the Flame Zones to boost his defense and recover MP.

Besides Flame Zones, Blair also has a Giant Fireball ability and a deadly flamethrower. However, it is worth noting that Blair must be close to his enemies to deploy his abilities, making him vulnerable to attacks.

Like Blair, Freyna is a DoT (Damage Over Time) character who uses poison instead of fire. Her best abilities include Poison Clouds that inflict considerable damage over time. Kyle is one of the most durable and efficient characters in The First Descendant. His Repulsion Dash ability enables him to stun enemies, making them easier to take down. Moreover, he can create a magnetic shield that absorbs damage and explodes out at enemies, simultaneously keeping him safe and taking out incoming enemies. His only shortcomings are specializing in close-range combat and tank-centric gameplay style. Notably, he is ideal for playing later in the game.

3. Jayber (S Tier)

Jayber is a well-balanced character, possessing impressive damage-dealing abilities and game-changing healing abilities. He can use Assault Turrets and Medical Turrets, either separately or together. Notably, using both types of turrets simultaneously on the battlefield increases his damage capacity for AoE attacks. Interestingly, he can use Advanced Medical Turrets to recover allies’ MP levels, enabling them to use their abilities more often.

Jayber’s only notable shortcoming is that his abilities depend heavily on turret placement. Ideally, you must place the turrets in the right spots to maximize their efficiency, which can be tricky with everyone moving around during battle.

2. Valby (S Tier)

Valby is lethal and durable, making her one of the most reliable DoT characters in the game. She uses her water-charged abilities to move around, evade attacks, and cause considerable damage over time. For example, she can turn liquid when moving between enemies in battle, making her untouchable. Moreover, she can create water puddles that damage all enemies who step into them, making her good at crowd control. She can also shoot Bubble Bullets that create water puddles upon impact for considerable AoE damage.

1. Bunny (S Tier)

Bunny is arguably the best character in The First Descendant because of her efficiency against all enemy types and crowd control abilities. Interestingly, she is nicknamed “Nuker,” demonstrating her abilities and power. Her Speed of Light ability makes her lightning-fast, giving her flexibility on the battlefield. Moreover, her Lightning Emission ability causes significant AoE damage across a 360-degree radius simply by running.

Bunny can take on any boss using her Maximum Power ultimate ability, which unleashes a super-charged laser beam. As if that’s not enough, she has modules that can boost and modify her skills.
