Sure, you can just equip any armor you come across in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix. But not all the armor sets available provide the same level of protection. Some simply offer you a stronger defense, allowing you to withstand more damage and giving you more time to decimate enemies. Meanwhile, you’ll find armor that provides resistance against one or more elemental magic attacks, whether fire, blizzard, thunder, light or darkness. Here’s a quick rundown of the best armor in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix that you want to have in your corner.

10. Power Band

If your goal is to only shield your character from taking up physical damage, then feel free to slot the Power Band into your build. This long, black wristband may add a sense of style to your character. But while wearing it, it’ll also reduce the impact of all incoming physical attacks by four points. 

9. Firaga Bangle

If you happen to run into enemies whose attacks are fire-based, you may want to equip Firaga Bangle for utmost protection. It shields you against all fire-based elemental attacks, reducing the damage you sustain by 20%. But beyond fire resistance, Firaga Bangle ensures you also withstand physical damage, reducing the impact of all incoming attacks by three points.

8. Champion Belt

Next up, we have the Champion Belt made of a thick brown material with a gold plate for the buckle. Wearing it provides you with limited protection against three elements, including fire, blizzard, and thunder magic-based attacks. For every elemental attack based on the three, the Champion Belt reduces the damage taken by 20%. Unfortunately, it leaves you vulnerable to regular attacks. So, you’ll have to equip it with another piece of armor that protects you from taking physical damage. 

7. Cosmic Belt

Power Band may shield you from physical attacks. But if you’re looking for a more powerful armor piece against regular attacks, then you may want to lean on the side of the Cosmic Belt. It gives you a whopping six points reduction of all damage sustained. Keep in mind that six points are the highest possible defense you can get from the armor pieces in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix. So, if you’re looking for the best defense against regular attacks, Cosmic Belt is the way to go.

Unfortunately, adding more points to your defense stat doesn’t have much of an impact on the battlefield. You’ll run into enemies with staggering strength stats that pale in comparison to your character’s defense stats. As a result, armor pieces in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix have more value in providing elemental resistance.

To make the most of Acrisius, you can unlock the more enhanced Acrisius + version. While the upgrade looks similar in design, it increases your resistance to fire, blizzard, and thunder-based elemental attacks by 25%.

5. Petit Ribbon

If you’re looking to cover all the bases, the Petit Ribbon is the way to go. It’s a thick, red ribbon that provides you with resistance against all types of elemental attacks. However, the caveat is that it only reduces damage taken by 10%. Still, you also enjoy protection against physical attacks, with the ribbon reducing the damage you sustain in combat by four points.

4. Cosmic Chain

Cosmic Chain is a popular go-to armor piece in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix. The dark purple chain reduces all the damage taken from fire, blizzard, and thunder-based elemental attacks by 30%. With three elements covered, it goes further to reduce all physical damage taken by three points.

3. Highest Ribbon (Grand Ribbon)

No matter your build, the Highest Ribbon must be one of the armor pieces you equip on your character. This thick, yellow ribbon provides you with protection against all types of elemental attacks. It reduces the damage you sustain in battle from magic-based attacks by 10%. On top of that, it reduces any damage you sustain from physical attacks by four points.

Besides Cosmic Chain and Highest Ribbon, Ribbon is the most popular armor piece in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix. That’s because it shields you from all types of elemental attacks. It’s a pretty compelling reason to always equip your character with Ribbon armor, even going as far as to stack them on top of one another. That way, you can maximize the 20% resistance it gives you against magic attacks. Meanwhile, you also enjoy protection from physical damage, reducing the impact of all incoming regular attacks by four points.

1. Shock Charm +

Shock Charm may be a brown strap you carry around for good luck. But equipping it to your character unlocks the power to resist all thunder-based magic attacks by a whopping 40%. Interestingly, no other armor piece gives you a magic resistance of 40%. If you want to unlock the full power of the Shock Charm, you can go on and stack four of them to unlock a whopping 86% resistance. This gives you an upper hand against enemies who solely use thunder-based magic attacks. 

Say Larxene, who appears as a boss in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Final Mix, for example. In her Data Rematch, all her attacks are thunder-based. And so, if you equip four Shock Charm armor pieces and can go up against her, you’ll be able to withstand her attacks seven times longer than usual. Furthermore, you also enjoy protection from all incoming regular attacks, with the armor reducing damage intake by three points.
