Battlefield 2042 Update 1.29 Brings Prologue Hotfix For PS4, PS5

DICE and EA have released Battlefield 2042 update 1.29 for PS4 and PS5 formats, which brings a small hotfix for an issue with the Prologue experience.

A small hotfix is now going live for PlayStation 4/5 players to resolve an issue with the prologue experience.

Battlefield 2042 was released for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in November 2021. You can read our full review here. EA released a major update for the game at the end of February, which ushered in support for Season 4: Eleventh Hour.

Battlefield 2042 is a departure for the franchise in that it eschews a traditional single-player campaign in favour of multiplayer modes. As such, it’s the first entry in the series that features Cross-Platform Play, although its changes were met with a polarising reception among fans; Battlefield 2042 also failed to meet sales expectations for publisher EA.
