Assassin’s Creed Shadows Seasons Won’t Negatively Impact Gameplay, But Animations May Change Based On Terrain

Assassin’s Creed Shadows features changing seasons that will alter the animations of your character depending on the terrain, but they won’t overall negatively affect gameplay, according to Ubisoft Quebec’s Thierry Dansereau.

Speaking in the latest issue of PLAY Magazine, the art director revealed that the development team “didn’t want it to be like something that could be perceived as very negative or have a negative impact on how you play.” Having said that, there are of course differences with changing seasons; you can find a lake to swim in during summer, but come winter time it will be frozen over, for example.
