The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Codename Red may be released as early as 2024 according to a recently discovered LinkedIn post.

Not much is yet known about Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. We know that it is set in feudal-Japan and that is pretty much it. Since it was first announced in 2022, the company has remained tight-lipped about this instalment with other games in the franchise taking priority.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red May Be Released As Early As 2024

Alongside a brief trailer that was released last year, news on Codename Red has been pretty slim. Now it seems as though we have received a tiny bit of new (but important) information.

This news comes courtesy of a newly discovered LinkedIn post by Arisa Lagunzad, a business developer and brand manager at Ubisoft. Lagunzad took to the site to put out a call out for creative partners and collaborators for Codename Red.

Most importantly, however, is the addition that the game will be the “biggest blockbuster for 2024.”

The post originally written in Japanese has been translated as follows:

“Japan was the most requested history and culture from AC fans. We are seeking a sponsoring partner for this title Assassin’s Creed Codename RED for next year [sic].

Assassin’s Creed is really expanding the multi-media front, with podcasts and manga series. Do you want to partner with the biggest blockbuster for 2024? I’d like to hear from you.”

It looks like a few months ago the Business Development and Brand Partnership teams at Ubisoft were looking for sponsorship partners for #AssassinsCreed Codename Red in 2024, which could act as a partial confirmation of the game actually being planned for 2024 at the moment! pic.twitter.com/m7mq2z3Gp5

Not Long To Wait

Although a release date has yet to be announced by Ubisoft, this post could mean that we will see Assassin’s Creed Codename Red as early as next year.

For now, there is still a lot planned for the stealth series. Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12 and will take us to the ancient city of Baghdad.

Additionally, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Hexe is now rumoured to feature a female protagonist as well as leaving a lasting mark” on the franchise.
