Antonov An-255 Mryia Aircraft now purchasable in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Today, it was announced the Ukranian-built Antonov An-255 is now available via the in-game store of Microsoft Flight Simulator.  The news comes from Xbox Wire and stated all proceeds will go to the Antonov Corporation to rebuild an actual An-255 aircraft. More details are below:

The Antonov An-225 Mriya is an ultra-heavy lift jet transport aircraft featuring six engines, holds the record as the world’s longest plane and many other size-related aviation records. Only one Mriya was ever completed, and it was rendered catastrophically inoperable in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Efforts are underway to attempt to rebuild the aircraft and fly it again.

The Antonov An-225 Mriya is available in the in-game marketplace on PC today. It will be available for Xbox Series X|S and on Xbox Cloud Gaming starting in late March.
