A State Of Play Is Coming “In The Next Few Weeks” According To Jeff Grubb

A new year means new State Of Play rumours, and 2024 barely made it to week 2 before the latest State Of Play rumour has cropped up.

According to Jeff Grubb, we can expect to see a State Of Play presentation from Sony “in the next few weeks.”

Grubb doesn’t get any more specific than that, though during the same Twitch stream he also claimed a Nintendo Direct is on the horizon.

It’s happened before that both Sony and Nintendo have showcases within days of each other, so it could happen again.

Of course it’s worth saying that Grubb’s claims, like any rumour ought to be taken with a grain of salt. Grubb himself doesn’t have a perfect track record.

But by that same token it’s worth noting that Sony hosted a State Of Play event in February 2023.

And on the note of it being a new year, Sony generally likes to communicate to players what to expect, at least for the immediate future with a State Of Play early in the year.

So keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement likely arriving by the end of this month or the beginning of next.
