Go rogue
- Albion Online is set to debut a new series of devilish activities with the Rogue Frontier update
- Align with the new Smuggler faction, use their dens to build your base and complete activities
- Or show off your prowess with new Kill Trophies, Crystal Weapons and more!
Ever thought the world of hit multiplatform, free-to-play MMORPG Albion Online was lacking in the way of rogues and criminality? Well, worry not because developer Sandbox Interactive have heard your prayers, and prepared a whole new array of dastardly undertakings in the new Rogue Frontier update!
As you might expect from the name, the Rogue Frontier update introduces a new faction by way of the Smugglers. These rogueish outlaws offer new Smuggler's Dens for solo and small-scale players to build their bases, as well as the Smuggler's Network for a new interconnected marketplace across the Outlands. All this and more arrives on February 3rd!
Naturally, if you align with the Smugglers you'll also be taking on daring new activities such as rescuing your fellow rogues or delivering packages across the Outlands. And with three new Crystal weapons available, Kill Trophies to show off their prowess and more, it may be worthwhile keeping your head down!
Kessel run
Adding in a new faction that caters more to those who want to avoid conflict and sneak around is, I think, a good choice. When it comes to building myself a base or collecting resources I often like to stick to the sidelines in things like Albion Online, but all too often there's no real option unless you're the kind of person to dive headfirst into battle.
So the opportunity to evade conflict and use your cowardly ways for profit just adds yet another way to play in this wide-open field of multiplayer battle, at least when February rolls around.
Meanwhile, if you're struggling with Albion Online, don't fret! As long as you've got firm footing we've also got top tips for maximising your endgame in Albion Online so that you can take on even the most vicious of base-destroying raiders!
