Draw and shoot
- Archero 2 is out now on iOS and Android
- Take on the role of a new archer intent on defeating the former champion
- Equip new skills, position yourself well and take on even more powerful foes
After a quiet few days starting off 2025, we're finally starting to get into new releases once more! And today we've got one that may've slid under the radar, despite its pedecessor garnering over 50 million downloads! So if you're a fan of bullet heavens and roguelikes, then get excited because Archero 2 is out now to scratch that itch!
Like all good sequels, Archero 2 uses one of my favourite tropes as it sees the previous hero now taken over by the Demon King. You'll need to step up as a new archer and beat both this previous champion and the Demon King himself.
Archero 2 boasts a faster pace than the original, as well as a whole new selection of skills and abilities to pick from. That's on top of a whole host of new dungeons and battles to explore, like the Boss Seal Battle, Trial Tower and Gold Cave.
Livin' like Legolas
Unlike something such as say, Vampire Survivors, Archero is a lot more about positioning. While you can equip a variety of automatic defences to keep you safe, your main weapon only fires when you're not moving. So you'll need to switch between spots during waves to maximise your chances of survival, all while picking new skills to up your overall power.
While it may not hit the high notes of the aforementioned Vampire Survivors you could do a whole lot worse than something like Archero. And this sequel looks set to further up the ante and the action with further skills combos and stronger threats to deal with.
