Provenance App launches on iOS to give you all the nostalgic arcade goodness you want on mobile
  • Supports a wide range of systems
  • Customisable metadata
  • In-app purchases include subscriptions

In case you missed it, developer Joseph Mattiello has launched a new emulator on mobile called the Provenance App, offering an iOS and tvOS multi-emulator frontend to help you play your childhood faves from times long past. Nostalgia is a huge factor when it comes to these old-school experiences, and this iOS emulator seems to know exactly that.

With the Provenance App, you can look forward to turning back time and reliving your glory days across Sega, Sony, Atari, Nintendo, Atari systems and more. While you'll never be able to go back to simpler times in real life, you can, at the very least, revisit vintage arcade adventures from the comfort of your own home and in the palm of your hand.

Now, mobile emulators aren't exactly new, but it never hurts to have more options to choose from when it comes to oldies-but-goodies.

This one, in particular, even features a full-page game metadata viewer, where you can happily peruse all the release data you'll ever want along with box artwork to really bring on the nostalgia. It also seems that you can even replace the text and the images with your own custom data, adding a little bit of extra fun on the side.

On the other hand, if you're on the lookout for more old-school feels, why not take a look at our list of the best retro-inspired games on iOS to get your fill?

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out the Provenance App on the App Store. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases. You can also join the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments, or visit the official website for more info.
