The Rise of the Golden Idol, the highly anticipated sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol, is finally launching on PC, console, and mobile, and it’s sooner than you think. This sequel carries forward the award-winning detective series, challenging you to dive deep into mysteries filled with intrigue, deception, and murder. 

Set in the 1970s, The Rise of the Golden Idol introduces 20 complex cases where you’ll investigate crime scenes, gather evidence, and unravel conspiracies that all tie back to the elusive Golden Idol. If you enjoyed the original, you’ll find that the sequel builds on the same core mechanics, with some enhancements aimed at streamlining the experience. 

The story takes place 300 years after the events of The Case of the Golden Idol, following a determined relic hunter in pursuit of the legendary artifact. The idol’s power, if real, could reshape the world, and you are tasked with solving the cryptic and eerie cases that arise along the way. You will delve into an immersive world full of hallucinogens, fax machines, and parapsychology.

Whether it’s a convict, a TV host, or a corporate manager, everyone has something to hide. In addition, the visual style of the title has also evolved. The upcoming title will feature a hand-painted, modern aesthetic with detailed environments and unsettling character designs, that make the world feel bizarre yet familiar.
