Lionheart Studios' Valhalla Survival, the upcoming survival action RPG based on Norse mythology, now has an official release date! You can get your mitts on Valhalla Survival when it launches for iOS and Android in over 220 countries on January 21st this year! But what's it all about? Well, let's find out!

As you might've guessed, Valhalla Survival sees you leaping into a world inspired by the vibrant, violent and often melodramatic world of Norse mythology. In this case,e the villain is, of course, that devious Loki who kidnaps the queen of Midgard. And it's up to you and your allies to battle against vicious Void Creatures and get her back.

Despite the name, there's not too much here in the way of classic survival gameplay; Valheim this certainly isn't. But Valhalla Survival does seek to offer plenty in the way of action-packed gameplay as you hack and slash your way through monsters, so it's definitely got a bit more in the way of Diablo DNA.

To Valhalla!

Admittedly if you're looking for an authentic depiction of Norse mythology, Valhalla Survival probably isn't for you. But Lionheart Studios promises to offer some great, action-packed gameplay with plenty of climbing difficulty so that you won't find yourself bored even if you breeze through the early stages.

You'll also be able to combine your skills for even greater complexity; all of which points to a pretty solid release, but of course we'll just have to find out for ourselves when it releases on January 21st.
